Ok, before you build that fantastic recreation building or family life center because you "need" it, take a few moments to see if you really need it.

You may not be properly utilizing avenues with facilities for outreach and discipleship.  Or, you miss an important consideration for your facility because you hurried to "get something built" and did not evaluate your ministry as well as needs in your community.  Take a few minutes to review the helpful checklist of questions before you build your recreation facility.  Click on www.lifeway.com  and take a little pop quiz that may help you improve your plans.

Think of church recreation as a tool, method or support ministry, not as a separate program.  The Guidebook for Planning Church Recreation Facilities (may be purchased from www.lifeway.com) will assist you as you consider if your church should have recreational facilities and help you to improve your plans.

Our signature publication The MasterBuild Process (available from our store) will help you avoid congregational conflicts, money-wasting mistakes, and frustrating hours of meetings. These information-gathering and decision-making steps will help your building committee more effectively work with architects, builders, or church construction companies.
